Gibraltar telephone numbers now have a '200' prefix.

Following the agreement by Spain to recognise the international code '350' for Gibraltar, the Crown Colony will now not run out of telephone numbers, and as from October the first 2008, it will be necessary to put the prefix '200' in front of the old Gibraltar number. So our office dialing number was:

+350 42563  and will now change on October 1st 2008 to:

+350 200 42563

Euro bank transfers under Euro 2 payment regulations

For those of you who have accounts at Sparkasse-Bank-Malta, or with another European bank (but not Gibraltar) who have signed up to the Euro 2 payment regulations, the criteria for being charged just five Euros for a wire transfer within Europe is as follows:

1. A valid BIC code must be entered on the transfer form together with-

2. The IBAN number.

3.The remittance charges box must be ticked 'normal'

4.The payment must be under €50,000
